**This volunteer training is for camp provided by Blue H.E.L.P, that serves families who have experienced the death of a parent, guardian, or primary caregiver who was a law enforcement officer or first responder. Camp April was formed in honor of the Officer Max Scherzer’s wife, who was left alone to raise their then 4-month-old twins with few financial benefits or support. Comfort Zone Camp is a national nonprofit organization that provides a safe and fun place for kids grieving the death of a parent, guardian, or sibling. CZC offers FREE one-day family programs, community programs, and 3-day weekend camps. All programming empowers children to grieve, heal, and grow in healthy ways.

Volunteer Roles Include:

Big Buddy Mentor | Nurse | Grief Therapist | Photographer | Logistics Support
All volunteers must be 15 yrs or older, complete a Volunteer Training, and pass a background check.
