In-person Volunteer Training – Virginia

During this training you will meet Comfort Zone staff and learn what to expect at camp and how our program impacts grieving children. You will receive education about childhood bereavement, as well as tips on how to be successful in whichever volunteer role you are selected to fill at in-person or virtual camps.

Virtual Volunteer Training in Partnership with OneLegacy

Virtual

During this training you will meet Comfort Zone staff and learn what to expect at camp and how our program impacts grieving children. You will receive education about childhood bereavement, as well as tips on how to be successful in whichever volunteer role you are selected to fill at in-person or virtual camps.
The training will be held via Zoom and is interactive. This is a two-night training; you must attend both nights and are required to be present with audio and video capabilities.

Virginia Weekend Camp: programs for ages 7-17

Jamestown 4-H Educational Center 3751 4-H Club Rd, Williamsburg, VA, United States

This program serves children ages 7-17 (18 if still in high school) who have lost a parent, guardian, sibling, or friend.

In-Person Volunteer Training – New Jersey

Senior Services Borough 20 Lawlor Drive, Oakland, NJ, United States

During this training you will meet Comfort Zone staff and learn what to expect at camp and how our program impacts grieving children. You will receive education about childhood bereavement, as well as tips on how to be successful in whichever volunteer role you are selected to fill at in-person or virtual camps.
At Senior Citizen Center in Oakland from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm (EST)

New Jersey Weekend Camp: programs for ages 7-17; and parents/guardians

Camp Mason 23 Birch Ridge Rd, Hardwick Township, NJ, United States

This program serves children ages 7-17 (18 if still in high school) who have lost a parent, guardian, sibling, or friend.
This camp will include a separate optional parent/guardian overnight weekend program.

In-Person Volunteer Training – Massachusetts

During this training you will meet Comfort Zone staff and learn what to expect at camp and how our program impacts grieving children. You will receive education about childhood bereavement, as well as tips on how to be successful in whichever volunteer role you are selected to fill at in-person or virtual camps.

At New York Life in Waltham, MA from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm (EST)

In-Person Volunteer Training – New York City

JCC Manhattan 334 Amsterdam Ave at 76th Street, New York, United States

During this training you will meet Comfort Zone staff and learn what to expect at camp and how our program impacts grieving children. You will receive education about childhood bereavement, as well as tips on how to be successful in whichever volunteer role you are selected to fill at in-person or virtual camps.
At JCC Manhattan (between 76th and 75th and Amsterdam) in New York City, NY from 9am – 1pm (EST). Lunch will be provided.
