Background on New Board Members

Daniel Tarantin joins the board with over 25 years of C-suite experience in high-growth operations and strategic value creation. Currently the Executive Chairman and former CEO of American Restoration Operations, LLC, Daniel has a proven track record of building and motivating large-scale teams and leading successful mergers and acquisitions for national brands like Jackson Hewitt Tax Service and Cendant Corporation. His extensive background in strategic planning, franchise development, and process implementation will be a vital asset as CZC seeks to scale its operations and enhance its long-term sustainability.

Leslie Levitt, owner of Neptune Ave Corp., brings a profound personal connection and a wealth of fundraising experience to the board. Since her daughters first attended CZC as campers in 2020, Leslie has become an invaluable advocate for the organization, serving on the Regional Advisory Council and co-chairing successful fundraising events in New Jersey. A dedicated community leader, Leslie has also raised significant funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Cycle for Survival. Her expertise in community engagement and donor relations will help CZC deepen its impact within the Northeast region and beyond.

Andy Sanborn is a Richmond native and a long-time supporter of Comfort Zone Camp. An alumnus of The College of William & Mary with a degree in Economics, Andy has served as a dedicated agent for New York Life since 2000. His deep roots in the Richmond community and his professional background in financial services provide him with a unique perspective on organizational growth and community partnership. As a father and long-standing ally of the camp, Andy is committed to ensuring that CZC remains a cornerstone of support for families navigating loss.

Cathy Dyer brings nearly two decades of hands-on experience with Comfort Zone Camp to her new role on the board. A realtor with Shaheen, Ruth, Martin & Fonville in Richmond, Cathy has been a volunteer “Big Buddy” since 2007, witnessing firsthand the transformative power of the camp’s programs. Her tenure as a member of the Regional Advisory and Gala Committees has given her a comprehensive understanding of the organization’s operational and fundraising needs. Cathy’s transition from a long-term volunteer to a board member ensures the voice of the camp’s frontline mission is represented at the highest level of leadership.
