**This camp is made possible by a generous partnership with Blue H.E.L.P. This program serves families who have experienced the death of a parent, guardian, or primary caregiver who was a law enforcement officer or first responder. Camp April was formed in honor of the Officer Max Scherzer’s wife, who was left alone to raise their then 4-month-old twins with few financial benefits or support. Read more about this organization here.**

This three day program is a strength-based, child-focused model, which includes age-based
support groups facilitated by trained grief specialists. The program will facilitate icebreakers,
confidence-building activities and other activities designed to facilitate trust, expression,
and interaction among them. *Also includes a 4 hour Parent/Guardian Program on
Saturday, June 6th from 9:00am-1:00pm (at a nearby location).
