Double your impact with matching gifts!

Many companies will match their employees’ donations. Make your donation to Comfort Zone Camp go twice as far with a matching gift in two easy steps.

Step 1
Speak to your HR department about their matching gift program and eligibility requirements. Many companies match the gifts of employees, retirees, spouses, surviving spouses, and directors. Be sure to find out if your employer uses paper forms for their matching gift program or if they require your donation information to be submitted to an online portal.

Step 2
If your employer uses paper forms in the matching gift process, you’ll start by obtaining a copy and filling out the employee portion. The form may ask for such information as your name, address, donation amount, and the date of your donation. Keep a copy for your records, but send the originals to Comfort Zone Camp.  The rest of the matching gift process will be taken care of by a staff member at Comfort Zone Camp.

If you have any questions or need help completing your matching gift, contact Anne-Marie at aworthy@comfortzonecamp.org.

How to inquire within the company
• Find out what department would handle your inquiry (HR, Community Relations, CEO, etc.). The larger the company, the more digging required.
• Research your company’s giving history & focus. This will ensure your proposal is in line with the corporation’s needs.

How to affect change at your company
• Set-up a meeting with the decision-maker.
• Bring a Comfort Zone Camp staff member (contact Anne-Marie Worthy aworthy@comfortzonecamp.org) with you to speak about the cause.

How you can ensure your proposal speaks to those needs
• Show how your participation is positively affecting the company.
• Show how the company’s participation will positively affect the company (i.e. cause-related marketing or employee philanthropy).

Your Grief Relief Fundraiser is over. You've made an impact!
