Virginia Pond Shuckin’ & Jivin

Join the Blue Goose Virginia Pond for an evening of food (oysters on the half shell, BBQ, sides), fellowship, and music by Richmond's own Kris Scott - all for a great cause! Comfort Zone Camp (CZC) is a safe, fun place for grieving kids in the Richmond area who have lost a sibling, parent, or primary caretaker. All services are free of charge, greatly due to donations through fund raising

A Little Hope and Comfort Zone Camp are pleased to invite you to our Night of Hope in NYC! Get your tickets to this memorable evening and help us shine a light on childhood bereavement.

Monday Night Virtual Support Group: program for ages 10-17; and parents/guardians

Virtual

Monday Evening Virtual Program for campers ages 10 - 17, (18 if still in high school) who have experienced the death of a parent, guardian, sibling, other relative, or friend.

Program will meet four consecutive Mondays (November 13, November 20, November 27, and December 4) from 7:00pm - 8:15pm EST via Zoom.

An optional separate parent/guardian group will take place simultaneously for those whose children are participating.

In-person Volunteer Training – Virginia

Dominion Payroll Richmond, VA

During this training you will meet Comfort Zone staff and learn what to expect at camp and how our program impacts grieving children. You will receive education about childhood bereavement, as well as tips on how to be successful in whichever volunteer role you are selected to fill at in-person or virtual camps.

Virtual Volunteer Training in Partnership with OneLegacy

Zoom

During this training you will meet Comfort Zone staff and learn what to expect at camp and how our program impacts grieving children. You will receive education about childhood bereavement, as well as tips on how to be successful in whichever volunteer role you are selected to fill at in-person or virtual camps.
The training will be held via Zoom and is interactive. This is a two-night training; you must attend both nights and are required to be present with audio and video capabilities.

Virginia Weekend Camp: for ages 7-17

Jamestown 4-H Educational Center Williamsburg, VA

This program serves children ages 7-17 (18 if still in high school) who have lost a parent, guardian, sibling, or friend.

Grief Relief 5K Your Way

The Grief Relief 5k Your Way is a fundraising event to send grieving children to attend Comfort Zone Camps...always free of charge. Together we can help them learn how to cope in healthy ways. A virtual 5k is your own "race" at your own pace on your own schedule! You can run, walk, hike, row, jump, or ride a 5k (3.1 miles). You choose the location…the road, the trail, the treadmill…anywhere!
