Comfort Zone at Home Virtual Camp in Partnership with the Brave of Heart Fund

This program specifically serves children ages 7-17 (18 if still in high school) who have experienced a death due to COVID-19. An optional parent/guardian program will take place simultaneously for those whose children are participating. The program is via Zoom from 12pm - 5pm EST (or 9am - 2pm PDT) and will include icebreaker games as well as a small group discussion about managing grief, coping skills, a bonfire, and

The training will be held via Zoom and is interactive. You will be required to be present with audio and video capabilities. 
You must attend both sessions in order to complete the training.

Dominion Payroll Richmond, VA

During this training you will meet Comfort Zone staff and learn what to expect at camp and how our program impacts grieving children. You will receive education about childhood bereavement as well as tips on how to be successful in whichever volunteer role you are selected to fill at in-person or virtual camps. This training will be in person and will be held at Dominion Payroll in Scott's Addition. Lunch

This program specifically serves children ages 7-17 (18 if still in high school) as well as young adults ages 18-25 who have experienced a death of a parent, sibling, guardian or friend. This camp is made possible by a generous partnership with the Brave of Heart Fund. *Priority is given to families of healthcare workers who died from COVID. All loss types are accepted based on availability.

During this training you will meet Comfort Zone staff and learn what to expect at camp and how our program impacts grieving children. You will receive education about childhood bereavement as well as tips on how to be successful in whichever volunteer role you are selected to fill at in-person or virtual camps.

Hardwick Township, NJ at Camp Mason in Partnership with the Brave of Heart Fund

An separate parent/guardian program will take place simultaneously for those whose children are participating.
