Filling our new “blank pages”?
3/36/2020
I just wanted you to know that we thinking about you during this uncertain time. We recognize that you may be feeling sad, scared, frustrated, worries, angry, confused, to name a few. We are going through a time that we don’t have control over, it isn’t fair, we are getting robbed of our daily lives and important events we can’t get back. If this sounds familiar and even like “grief”–it is! We are all experiencing “life grief”. This situation may also re-trigger grief from past losses we have had. The same holds true for others in our lives including our campers.
Currently we have postponed our camps for March and April and will reschedule in the latter half of the year. We continue to monitor the situation and will keep everyone notified if there are additional changes.
If you are able, we encourage you to reach out to campers and other volunteers you’ve made connections with at camp to check on them and help lift their spirits—give them a connection to the “bubble”. We are looking at hosting some online gatherings for camper parents, campers and volunteers. We are also getting ready to launch a podcast. These are all ways we want to keep the Comfort Zone Camp Community connected and cared for. We will keep you posted with these upcoming events.
Again, please know that myself and the entire CZC staff/family is with you. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if there is any way we can support you.
Take good care,
Lynne Hughes & CZC Staff
