This program serves children ages 7-17 (18 if still in high school) who have lost a parent, guardian, sibling, or friend. Families connected to OneLegacy will be given priority.
During this training you will meet Comfort Zone staff and learn what to expect at camp and how our program impacts grieving children. You will receive education about childhood bereavement, as well as tips on how to be successful in whichever volunteer role you are selected to fill at in-person or virtual camps. Comfort Zone Camp is running Virtual Support Groups on Monday evenings starting November 3rd and ending November 24th. They will run from 7:00 pm to 8:15 pm and will serve campers 10 – 17 (18 if still in high school). An optional parent/guardian program will take place simultaneously for those whose children are participating.

The Weekend Overnight Young Adult Retreat program is designed for participants to join peers in a rustic camp retreat setting where discussions and activities are facilitated by a trained grief specialist. Throughout the weekend, participants take part in conversations surrounding their loss and are able to share how grief changes as they reach life's milestones.
